I spent nine months living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and during that time I ate, slept, and breathed Portuguese. I left with a passion for studying and speaking the language, and with a desire to spread the knowledge and passion that I had acquired in Brazil. Before graduating, I taught Portuguese at Macalester College, teaching grammar lessons as a lab instructor, leading the conversation hours, and doing individual tutoring with my students.
